The National Testing Agency will release the NEET UG 2025 result by June 14, 2025. The results will be made available on the official website of NTA NEET at neet.nta.nic.in. Students will need to login with their application number and password to check their NEET scorecards.

Around 20 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET exam held on May 4. The provisional answer key for test booklet codes 45, 46, 47, and 48 was released on June 3, and candidates were allowed to submit objections until June 5 by paying an objection fee of Rs 200 per challenge.

This year, the NTA also introduced the option to challenge specific questions in addition to the answer key. Subject matter experts will now review all objections and finalise the answer key accordingly.

The NEET UG 2025 result and rank list will be declared based on this final answer key. The NEET cut-off for All India Quota (AIQ) seats will also be announced for MBBS and BDS admissions.

Following the result declaration, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will begin the NEET UG counselling 2025 for 15% AIQ seats. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifying cut-off will be eligible to participate in the counselling process.

NEET UG 2025 Expected Cut-Off

Considering the paper’s difficulty level, reduced exam duration, and trends from previous years, experts anticipate a slight shift in the NEET UG 2025 cut-off.

Rohit Gupta, Chief Academic Officer at PhysicsWallah (PW), predicts that the general category cut-off may range between 540 and 560 marks. “This year’s exam was particularly concept-driven,” he noted. “While Biology remained largely NCERT-based and relatively scoring, Chemistry required deeper conceptual understanding, and Physics was especially challenging with time-consuming numerical problems.”

Gupta also pointed out that the 20-minute reduction in exam duration increased time pressure, potentially affecting overall performance. However, a decrease of nearly one lakh candidates this year, along with the expansion of medical colleges and MBBS seats, might slightly reduce competition and improve admission prospects.

Nabin Karki, National Academic Director (Medical) at Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), shared a similar projection, estimating the AIQ cut-off between 530 and 560 marks. For AIIMS Delhi, the cut-off is expected to be significantly higher, ranging between 660 and 670 marks. The qualifying marks for general category candidates are likely to fall between 130 and 150.
