NIOS 10th, 12th Practical Exam 2025: The practical examinations, covering both Secondary and Senior Secondary courses, are set to commence from March 17, 2025.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has released the date sheet for the upcoming Class 10 and 12 practical examinations. Students gearing up for the March/April 2025 exams can now access the complete schedule on the official NIOS website, sdmis.nios.ac.in.

The practical examinations, covering both Secondary and Senior Secondary courses, are set to commence from March 17, 2025. These exams will be held at designated Accredited Institutes (AIs) and examination centers across India and overseas.

March 17 to March 20, 2025 — Science and Technology, Home Science, Carnatic Sangeet, Folk Art

March 21 to March 24, 2025 — Painting, Maths, Hindustani Music, Data Entry Operations, Natyakala

March 25 to March 28, 2025 — Cutting and Tailoring, Dress Making, Beauty Culture and Hair Care, Certificate in Indian Embroidery, Beauty Therapy

March 29 to April 1, 2025 — Hair Care and Styling, Hand & Foot Care, Bakery and Confectionary, Certificate in Basic Computing, Certificate in Desktop Publishing (CDTP), Certificate in Yog, Indian Sign Language

NIOS 12th Practical Exam Schedule

March 17 to March 20, 2025 — Home Science, Biology, Geography, Painting, Computer Science, Mass Communication, Early Childhood Care and Education

March 21 to March 24, 2025 — Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, Physical Education and Yog, Data Entry Operations, Library and Information Science, Natyakala

March 25 to March 28, 2025 — House Keeping, Catering Management, Food Processing, Hotel Front Office Operations, Preservation of Fruits & Vegetables, Web Designing and Development

March 29 to April 1, 2025 — Computer and Office Applications, Data Entry Operations, Web Development, IT Essentials: PC Hardware and Software, CRM Domestic Voice, Computer Hardware Assembly & Maintenance, Yog Assistant

Students are required to download their hall tickets from sdmis.nios.ac.in. The practical exams will primarily take place at the student’s respective study center unless otherwise notified by their regional center.

As per the official notice, students are required to contact their exam centre superintendent to confirm their specific exam date and batch assignment. The batch size will be determined based on the laboratory capacity and finalised by the superintendent or AI coordinator.

The NIOS exam results are expected to be announced within seven weeks after the exam concludes. Marksheet-cum-certificates and migration-cum-transfer certificates will be distributed to successful candidates through their respective AI coordinators. In cases where an AI has been cancelled, these documents will be dispatched by post to the candidate’s registered address by the regional centre. To streamline the result compilation process, exam centres are required to upload students’ practical marks online through the official NIOS portal.
