NITI Aayog Internship: The National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog is offering internship opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as research scholars enrolled in recognized universities or institutions both in India and abroad. This initiative provides interns with a chance to work closely with NITI Aayog’s various verticals, divisions, and cells.

How To Apply For NITI Internship Scheme?

Interested candidates can apply online between 1st and 10th of each month on the official website – niti.gov.in. Applications can be made up to six months in advance, but not later than two months before the desired internship month.

NITI Aayog Internship Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the internship, applicants must meet the following conditions:

Undergraduate Students: Must have completed or appeared for the term-end exams of the second year or fourth semester of their bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 85% or equivalent marks in the 12th class.

Graduate Students: Must have completed or appeared for the term-end exams of the first year or second semester of their postgraduate program or be pursuing research/PhD with at least 70% or equivalent marks in graduation.

Graduates/Postgraduates Awaiting Higher Studies: Students who have completed their final exams and are awaiting admission to higher studies are also eligible, provided they have secured 70% or more cumulative marks in all years/semesters until the date of application. The gap between the declaration of the final exam result and the desired month of internship should not exceed six months.

NITI Aayog Internship Duration:

Internships at NITI Aayog will be available throughout the year, depending on the institution’s requirements. The internship period will be at least six weeks, but cannot exceed six months. Interns must complete the entire duration to receive an experience certificate. Failure to complete the required internship duration will result in no certificate being issued.

NITI Aayog Internship Logistics and Support:

Interns will be required to have their own laptops. However, NITI Aayog will provide access to necessary facilities, including workspace, internet, and other requirements deemed necessary by the concerned division heads.

NITI Aayog Internship Attendance Requirements:

A minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory for all interns. Attendance must be marked in and out daily. If an intern fails to meet the 75% attendance requirement, the internship period will not be extended, and no experience certificate will be issued.

NITI Aayog Internship: Important Points

Applications will only be accepted online, from the 1st to the 10th of each month. No other method of application will be accepted.

Once the application is submitted, candidates should take note of their registration number for future reference.

No printouts or supporting documents need to be sent after the online submission.
