UPSC IFS Recruitment 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Indian Forest Service Exam 2024 on its official website. 
Candidates having certain educational qualifications including  a Bachelor’s degree in the subjects mentioned in the notification with age limit between 21 to 32 years on August 1st, 2024 can apply for these posts. 

Interested and eligible candidates can submit their application in online mode on the official website of UPSC Online (upsconline.nic.in). The  last date of registration for UPSC Forest Service Exam is March 05, 2024.

UPSC IFS 2024: Important Dates

The Commission has uploaded the detailed notification for IFS Exam 2024 including the online application schedule on its official website. You can apply online for these posts after visiting the official website following the schedule given below-

• Starting of online application: February 14, 2024
• Last date of application: March 05, 2024
• Modification in application form (Other than OTR Profile): March 06 to 12, 2024

What is the UPSC IFS  Posts Eligibility and Age Limit?

The eligibility criteria and age limit have been released by the examination authority. Candidates can refer to the official notification for details.
 
Educational Qualification:  A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering of any of Universities or possess an equivalent qualification. 
You are advised to check the notification link for details of the educational qualification of the posts. 
 
UPSC IFS  Age Limit: Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on August 1st, 2024.

UPSC IFS Application Fee 

Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) (excepting Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit card/UPI Payment or by using Internet Banking of any Bank.  

UPSC IFS Selection Procedure

The Indian Forest Service Examination will consist of two successive stages including-
(i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for
the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination; and
(ii) Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service.

• Step 1 – Go to the official website of the commission – upsconline.nic.in.
• Step 2 – Click on the application link given on the ‘Latest Updates’
• Step 3 – Register for the exam. If OTR is completed, log in using the valid credentials.
• Step 4 – After login, click on the application form
• Step 5 – Now fill out all the details
• Step 5 – Now upload the relevant documents, if needed.
• Step 6 – Pay the exam fee according to the category mentioned in the notification.
• Step 7 – Submit the application and take the print-out of the application form.
