Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday directed officials to ensure that no school in the state is without teachers. Chairing a review meeting of the Basic Education Department at his official residence in Lucknow, Adityanath said that the government’s treasury is the public’s money, and the government has no shortage of funds for quality education.
Emphasising the need to improve the teacher-student ratio in all districts and development blocks, he asserted that the government is committed to ensuring quality education for children under all circumstances and to achieve this, the state government is implementing Operation Kayakalp with inter-departmental coordination, focusing on 19 key parameters.
As part of this initiative, all council schools now have separate toilets for boys and girls, along with essential facilities such as drinking water, well-furnished classrooms, electricity, quality furniture, boundary walls, and secure gates.
The chief minister said that the state government is constructing Chief Minister Model Composite Schools for classes 1 to 12, with funds already released for 26 districts.
Additionally, Chief Minister Abhyudaya Composite Schools, catering to pre-primary to class 8, are being developed in 58 districts. Both types of schools will feature playgrounds, training centers, and courses in craft, clay art, and new-age skills.
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) on March 19, has begun the online evaluation process of the UP Board class 10 and 12 exams 2024-25. As many as 1,34,723 examiners have been assigned to assess nearly three crore answer sheets across 261 evaluation centres across the state. The evaluation process is expected to be completed by April 2, and results will likely be announced in the last week of April, confirms UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh.
The checking of papers is being monitored at multiple levels — district, divisional and regional. The live feed from all evaluation centres is being transmitted to the control room at the UP Board headquarters and its camp office in Lucknow. The UP Board Class 10 High School examination will be evaluated by 84,122 examiners and 8,437 deputy head examiners.

Around 1.63 crore answer sheets will be reviewed during the UP Board 2025 Class 10 result evaluation process. Meanwhile, the Intermediate examination will be assessed by 50,601 examiners and 5,471 deputy head examiners, covering 1.33 crore answer sheets.
This year, the UP Board examinations were conducted across 8,140 centres from February 24 to March 12. A total of 25.56 lakh students appeared for the High School examination, while 25.77 lakh students took the Intermediate examination.
Last year, a total of 29,82,055 students had appeared for the UP Board class 10 exam, of which 22,93,467 students passed. Similarly, 24,52,830 students appeared in UP Board class 12 exams, of which 20,26,067 qualified
