OPSC PGT Recruitment 2024 for Post Graduate Teacher Vacancies: Check Notification, Salary, Application Process & Other Details

OPSC PGT  Recruitment 2024 Notification: Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released details notification for Post Graduate Teacher positions on its official website. A total of 1375 Post Graduate Teachers vacancies are to be filled under the OPSC PGT recruitment drive across the state. Out of 1375 vacancies, 461 are reserved for women candidates. 
The link for registration and submission of online application will be available from January 31, 2024 to March 02, 2024 on official website of OPSC-opsc.gov.in.

A total of 1375 Post Graduate Teacher positions are available for various schools/institutions in different subjects across the state. 

Eligibility For OPSC PGT Jobs 2024:

Candidates can check the details eligibility including educational qualification, age limit and other details for Post Graduate Teacher posts which are available on the official website. 

Educational Qualifications
A candidate must have a master’s degree in the relevant subject from recognised university with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate and have possessed two years Post Graduate Master’s Course of integrated six years Post Graduate Master’s Course from Regional College of Education recognised by the NCERT in the concerned subject with minimum 50 percent marks in aggregate. 
Should have a B Ed or an equivalent degree from a recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi. However, B.Ed. qualification will not be the mandatory eligibility criteria for the post of PGT in the subjects where BEd course is not offered.

Age Limit 
Candidates must not be below the age of 21 years and above 38 years as on the 1st day of January 2023. You can check the notification link for details of relaxation in upper age limit.

No application fee is required to be paid to apply for PGT posts or appearing in the recruitment process.

Commission will conduct the written exam for the recruitment of PGT posts which will be held in two following stages-

• Written examination based on MCQs pattern.
• Personality Test and Interview.
