Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025: The sports icons will share insights on overcoming failure, staying focused, and embracing challenges with students amid the board exam season

World champion boxer MC Mary Kom, Paralympic gold medallist Avani Lekhara and Indian badminton player Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj are all set to grace the seventh episode of the Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025. The sports icons will share insights on overcoming failure, staying focused, and embracing challenges with students amid the board exam season. With examples of resilience and self-belief, the trio aims to motivate students to chase success fearlessly and achieve their dreams.

The Education Ministry has shared a teaser of the episode which will be aired tomorrow, February 17, 2025, at 10 AM. Students, parents, and teachers can watch the episode on DD, as well as on PM Modi and the Ministry of Education’s official YouTube channels.

“The 7th episode of #ParikshaPeCharcha is packed with inspiration, featuring legendary sports icons Mary Kom, Avani Lekhara, and Suhas L Yathira. Hear them share insights on goal setting, resilience, and stress management through discipline,” reads the post on microblogging site X.

Mangte Chungneijang “Mary” Kom is the only woman to win the World Amateur Boxing Championship six times, the only female boxer to have won a medal in each one of the first seven World Championships, and the only boxer (male or female) to win eight World Championship medals. She was the only Indian female boxer to have qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics, where she competed in the flyweight (51 kg) category and won a bronze medal. She had also been ranked as the world’s No. 1 female light flyweight by the International Boxing Association (amateur).

Avani Lekhara is an Indian rifle shooter. She is a double gold medalist at the Paralympics having won the 10m rifle event at the 2020 Paralympics as well as the 2024 Paralympics. She made history by winning two back-to-back golds. She also won the bronze in the 50m rifle 3 positions SH1 event at the 2020 Games, thus being the first Indian woman to win multiple medals at a single Paralympic Games Lekhara is a two-time gold and one-time silver medalist at the Para World Cup.

Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj is an Indian para-badminton player and the World No. 1 in men’s singles. He won the silver medals at the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 games thus becoming the only Indian para-badminton player to win back-to-back medals at the Games. An IAS officer of the 2007 batch of Uttar Pradesh cadre, he has served as District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar & Prayagraj. He won the gold medal at the National Para Badminton Championships in 2018. He is the only IAS officer in India to win a Paralympic medal and an Arjuna Award.
