Entrance Exams For MBA Other Than The CAT
XAT
The Xavier’s Aptitude Test, or XAT, is a computer-based exam administered at the national level that evaluates a candidate’s qualification for business and management courses. More than 250 institutes around India consider the XAT score, which is administered by the Xavier Labour Relation Institute (XLRI) in Jamshedpur.
Three sections make up the paper: the first covers numeric skills and data interpretation, verbal skills and logical thinking, and decision-making, the second section involves practice typing on a keyboard, and the third section covers general awareness and essay writing. There are 210 minutes in all. For each wrong response, there is a 0.25 mark deduction. To apply for this exam, students must have a bachelor’s degree in any field.
CMAT
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is the entrance exam for management programmes given by university departments, constituent and associated colleges, and institutions accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The three-hour Computer Based Test (CBT) exam known as CMAT is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to assess candidates’ proficiency in quantitative technique, logical reasoning, language comprehension, and general awareness.
SNAP
Symbiosis International University administers the computer-based Symbiosis National Aptitude Test, or SNAP. Its purpose is to evaluate an applicant’s fitness for admission to different MBA and PGDM programmes offered by around 17 colleges that Symbiosis manages. This one-hour test covers general English, logical and analytical reasoning, numeric ability, data interpretation, and data sufficiency. It can be taken three times a year.
AIMA MAT
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) conducted by the All India Management Association is a government-approved national-level test for admission to MBA and associated institutions. This exam covers 600 B-Schools in India.
NMAT
A nationwide exam, the NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) is required for admission to MBA and PGDM programmes offered by NMIMS and other recognised business schools in India and outside. This two-hour test, which is administered by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), is divided into three sections: logical reasoning, quantitative skills, and linguistic skills.
Candidates are permitted to try three times a year. Additionally, it is considered the highest score among all admissions attempts. Additionally, there isn’t any bad marking.

GMAT
Focussing on topics including quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning, integrated reasoning, and analytical writing, the Graduate Management Aptitude Test, or GMAT, is a worldwide acknowledged exam that evaluates a person’s abilities and prospects for business management programmes.
Similar to NMAT, this test is conducted by GMAC and lasts for three hours and seven minutes. After being cleared, candidates can apply to more than 2,300 business schools worldwide for more than 7,000 programmes. Additionally, the scores are valid for five years, giving candidates a great deal of flexibility in carefully constructing their career pathways.
