PSEB Class 5 results 2025: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has announced the results for the Class 5 exams, marking an extraordinary 99.54% pass rate for 2025. A total of 3,00,575 students appeared for the exam this year, with 2,99,204 students emerging successful. The results were announced offline at the respective schools, in a shift from previous years when results were made available online at the official PSEB website and other platforms.
This year’s PSEB Class 5 exams were conducted from March 7 to 13, 2025, and saw impressive success rates among students from both government and non-government schools. The results show that a significant number of students from the Punjab Board passed with flying colors, reflecting the commitment to academic excellence and educational standards within the state.
Pass rate breakdown: girls outshine boys
Among the total students who appeared for the exams, 1,42,481 were girls and 1,58,018 were boys. The overall pass percentage for girls stood at 99.55%, with 1,41,844 girls being promoted out of the total number of 1,42,481. In government schools, 93,790 girls passed out of 94,209, while 48,054 girls out of 48,272 passed in non-government schools. This marked a notable achievement for female students, continuing a trend of strong academic performance.
In comparison, boys recorded a pass percentage of 99.48%. A total of 1,57,206 boys out of 1,58,018 passed the exams. Among these, 100,849 boys from government schools were promoted, while the remaining students from non-government schools also performed remarkably well.
Government schools see huge success
Out of the total 3,00,575 students who appeared for the PSEB Class 5 exams, 1,95,582 students were from government schools, and 1,04,993 students were from non-government schools. Of the government school students, 1,94,740 were successful, marking an impressive success rate. In non-government schools, 1,04,464 students passed, contributing to the overall outstanding pass rate of 99.54%.
These results underscore the strong academic performance from both public and private institutions in the state, with both sectors achieving nearly identical success rates. The Punjab School Education Board’s initiatives for improving the quality of education seem to have paid off, fostering an environment of academic excellence for students from all backgrounds.

In a standout achievement, Puneet Verma from Hoshiarpur topped the PSEB Class 5 exams with a perfect score of 100%. He was followed by Navjot Kaur from Faridkot and another Navjot Kaur from Amritsar, both of whom earned high marks and secured their spots as top performers.
