VIJAYAWADA: Renowned healthcare institution Aster Ramesh Hospitals announced a special health scheme-“Arogya Bhagyam” to mark the celebration of its 35th anniversary.

Speaking to the media here on Monday, hospital group managing director and chief cardiologist Dr Ramesh Babu Pothineni said that they would offer a 25 percent discount on all in-patient and out-patient services under Arogya Bhagyam health card which cost Rs.300.
He said that they established the first cardiac hospital in Vijayawada city on 15th August 1988 with a bed strength of just six which rose to 750 beds by its 35th anniversary. He said their hospitals have been extending super specialty healthcare services to the people of Andhra Pradesh at very affordable prices. He said that hospital has provided medical care of international standards to more than 20 lakh patients since its inception. Dr.Ramesh Babu said that the hospital is in collaboration with Aster DM Healthcare in will be expanded with 800 more beds in another two years. “A new unit of Cancer care, organ transplant and multi super speciality Hospital with 400 beds will be established in Vijayawada,” said Dr Ramesh Babu. He said that inpatient and outpatient services will be provided in the areas of Nalluri Nursing Home, Ongole, Bhimavaram Hospitals, Bhimavaram and Amaravati Hospital Tiruvuru from this month. He said that cancer treatment services will be launched in all the three hospitals in Vijayawada very shortly.

“In order to monitor the condition of the patients in different areas round the clock a central command station called “Cloud Docs” has been established with the ultra-modern cameras. Tele ICU, Tele Emergency Room & Tele Ambulance and Quality Services are provided to all the hospitals,” said Dr Ramesh Babu. He said that they have trained more than one lakh people in Basic Life Support (BLS) for saving themselves and others as part of social responsibility. President of Vijayawada Chamber of commerce and Industry, Konakalla Vidyadhara Rao, Ramesh hospitals chairman M S Ram Mohan Rao, Medical Director Dr. Pavuluri SrinivasaRao, management consultant Dr.MC Das, group business head Dr.Y.Karthik Chowdary and others were present.
