Uttar Pradesh Holidays

Ghaziabad Schools Holidays

In Noida and Ghaziabad, near Delhi, schools are currently closed. Many schools in Noida are holding online classes to cover the syllabus. In Ghaziabad, all schools from Class 1 to 8 will stay closed until January 18, 2025, though school staff must still report to work. Schools are expected to reopen for students on January 20, 2025.

Gorakhpur School Holidays

In Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, all government, Anganwadi, and private educational institutions will remain closed until January 14, 2025. Schools will resume on January 15, 2025.

Noida School Holidays

Amid the ongoing cold wave and foggy conditions, schools from nursery to class 8 in Noida will remain shut until further orders.

Lucknow School Holidays

Due to the ongoing cold wave, Lucknow’s District Magistrate, Suryapal Gangwar, has ordered the extension of school holidays for students from Class 1 to 8 until January 14, 2025. Additionally, Gangwar stated that online classes may be conducted if necessary. Schools for students in Class 9 to 12 will remain open, and where there are no holidays, online classes will be conducted.

Delhi Schools Holidays

According to the Delhi government’s holiday list, all government and private schools in the city will remain on winter vacation until January 15, 2025. Schools are expected to reopen on January 16, 2025 (Thursday). However, if the cold wave continues or the city remains covered in fog, the holidays may be extended further.

Rajasthan Schools Holidays

Schools in several districts of Rajasthan, including Jaipur, Dausa, Sikar, Bundi, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Pali, Beawar, Dholpur, and Jhalawar, will remain closed until January 14 for classes up to 8 due to the cold wave. Classes for 9 to 12 will have revised timings starting at 10 AM.

Tamil Nadu School And College Holidays

In Tamil Nadu, schools will remain closed until January 20, 2025, due to the Pongal festival. This holiday also extends to colleges and government offices. Some private schools are also closed on January 13, 2025.

Telangana School Holidays

The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) has announced holidays for all intermediate colleges in the state in celebration of Makar Sankranti. The holidays began on January 11 and will continue through January 16, 2025. Classes will resume on January 17, 2025.

Himachal Pradesh Holidays

Winter vacations have been announced for all schools, lasting from January 1 to February 1, 2025.

Jammu And Kashmir School Holidays

Schools up to Class 5 in Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed from December 10, 2024, to February 28, 2025, while schools for Classes 6 to 12 will be closed from December 16, 2024, to February 28, 2025.
