This release follows the announcement of the SSC CGL final result 2024, which was declared on March 12. As many as 18,174 candidates qualified for the Tier 2 exam to be held in January.

Following the release of the result, the SC CGL 2024 aspirants flagged errors in the final results. Aspirants had urged the Staff Selection Commission to release the final answer key, citing concerns over irregularities in the normalisation process and a lack of transparency. Several aspirants alleged that candidates with lower raw marks secured higher scores after normalisation and demanded clarification from the commission.

The normalisation process in SSC CGL is used to adjust candidates’ scores when an exam is conducted in multiple shifts with different difficulty levels. Since the difficulty of questions may vary across different shifts, SSC uses a statistical method to ensure fairness.
