The girl from a village has always had a dream of becoming a doctor.
After she decided to cancel her admission, the matter between the college and the government reached the High Court.
In India, many youngsters are academically gifted but are not able to fulfil their dream of joining their desired college due to financial instabilities. Even though there are many scholarships, many of them do not have the resources to get access to them. However, many organisations help provide financial aid to such students. One such incident happened in Indore, where a girl named Ramkali Barela got an opportunity to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor after getting financial help from an organisation. As per reports, Ramkali is currently pursuing an MBBS at a government college.
According to reports, Ramkali Barela, who belongs to a village named Hasyakhedi in Madhya Pradesh, has always had a dream of becoming a doctor since childhood. But her hopes were shattered when, even after getting admission to MBBS, she had to face financial problems. The problem became so severe that Ramkali even applied to the college to cancel her admission.
After she decided to cancel her admission, the matter between the college and the government regarding giving admission to others on the seat vacated by Ramkali Barela reached the Indore High Court. Then, Santosh Tagore, who is the Administrative Officer of Shajapur in Madhya Pradesh, got to know about it and he contacted the Prayas Foundation to help out Ramkali.
Prayas Foundation filed a petition in the High Court, taking on the responsibility of paying the entire Ramkali fee. In the High Court, the division bench of Justice SA Dharmadhikari and Pranay Verma heard the petition of the organisation. Before the court, advocate Nimesh Pathak presented the side of the organisation on behalf of Someshwar Kher, and the organisation assured the High Court that the entire expense of Ramkali’s MBBS studies would be paid by the organisation.
Reportedly, the organisation deposited an amount of Rs 1.99 lakh in the college and Ramkali is now able to pursue her dreams of becoming a doctor.
