TN +2 Result 2025 (May 8): When and where to check HSE results

The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE) will declare the Tamil Nadu Class 12 result. According to an official release, the Plus Two results will be announced by School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi at 9 a.m. on Thursday at the Anna Centenary Library in Chennai.

The TN +2 result link will be available at the official websites — dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in. Moreover, for more updates on TN results, evaluation, admission etc, students can check education.indianexpress.com.

The students who appeared for the  TNDGE Class 12 exams will be able to check and download their scorecards from the official websites using their registration number and date of birth.

The TNDGE board Class 12 2025 exams were held between March 3 and March 25. The practical component of the TN Board Class 11 exams was conducted by the between February 7 and 14.

Additionally, the results will be sent via SMS to students on the mobile numbers provided in the affidavits submitted by their schools, as well as to individual candidates on the mobile numbers they submitted, the statement added.

The Class 12 marksheet of the TNDGE board mentions the marks scored by students in different subjects. To collect the Tamil Nadu board Class 12 original mark sheets, the students need to visit their respective schools a few days after the declaration of the Class 12 result by the board. Information about the supplementary exams will be announced after the Class 12 result declaration by the board.  

Last year, the Tamil Nadu board declared the HSC plus 2 exam results on May 6, 2024. The  TN Board Class 12 exams last year were held between March 1 and 22.

The overall pass percentage last year was 94.56 per cent. The pass percentage last year increased slightly to 94.56 per cent from 94.03 per cent in 2023. A total of 7,60,606  students had appeared for the TN board class 12 exam last year. The overall pass percentage was 94.56 per cent, with the girls outshining the boys. The male pass percentage was 92.37 per cent, while the female pass percentage was recorded to be 96.44 per cent.

Over the past five years, there has been a noticeable decline in the number of students taking the TN HSC +2 exams. In 2019, the figure stood at 8,42,512. Subsequent years witnessed a downward trend, with 7,79,931 students in 2020, 8,16,473 in 2021, 8,06,277 in 2022, 8,03,385 in 2023 and 7,60,606 in 2024.
