The Financial Times released its Business School Rankings 2025 on February 16, 2025, featuring the world’s top business schools. This year, Wharton and Columbia have claimed the top two spots in the FT Global MBA Ranking 2025, reinforcing the stronghold of US business schools. Meanwhile, European institutions dominate the next tier, with five of the next six leading schools located in Europe.
The rankings assess 100 business schools based on a range of critical factors, including weighted salary, value for money, carbon footprint, career progression, and research excellence. The United States remains a global hub for business education, attracting students from across the world.

2025 vs. 2024: US universities in FT Global MBA rankings

The University of Pennsylvania has established itself as the undisputed leader in the MBA course, it clinched the first position in 2024 as well. The Columbia Business School held the third position in 2024 which has climbed to secure the second rank this year. The Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, attained sixth rank last year, however, this year it has witnessed a drop and has stood at 10th position. MIT Sloan has maintained its place at 6th rank since last year. Cornell University Johnson bagged 9th position in 2024 which has dipped to 13th ranking this year. Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business was at 14th position the previous year which has successfully climbed to secure the 11th rank in 2025. The well-renowned Harvard Business School which held 11th position in 2024 has fallen to 13th rank in 2025. UC Berkeley: Haas has shown notable improvement since last year, it secured 19th position last year and has remarkably risen to 15th position in 2025. UCLA Anderson School of Management has witnessed a massive drop from 10th position in 2024 to 17th in 2025.
