The TREIRB Gurukul Board has dropped a notice regarding the delay.

The main reason for this delay is that there is a case going on in the High Court regarding the implementation of horizontal reservation in Gurukul recruitment.

The Telangana Residential Educational Institutions Recruitment Board (TREIRB) conducted exams between August 1 and August 23. The response sheets have been released recently. After receiving a few objections regarding the response sheet, TREIRB declared the final key in the first week of September. According to recent reports, there will be a significant delay in the declaration of the final results. Now, the TREIRB Gurukul Board has dropped a notice regarding the delay. As per reports, the main reason for this delay is that there is a case going on in the High Court regarding the implementation of horizontal reservation in Gurukul recruitment.

It was earlier stated in the notification that the appointment of Gurukul exams would be done in the vertical reservation system. Vertical Reservation is for the people belonging to the so-called backward classes. Horizontal Reservation is for other disadvantaged groups like women, children, transgender people, and people with disabilities. There is no guarantee that members belonging to a particular group will get one specific seat every time an opportunity arises. Now, the candidates approached the court to take up the selection process in the horizontal system, according to the judgement of the Supreme Court.

Recently, the High Court issued an interim order to follow the horizontal system. On this, the Gurukul organisation has ordered the appointment board to file a counter to the High Court notices regarding the appointments in the Gurukuls.

The High Court has recently issued notices to the government and the board asking them to explain how women’s reservations are being implemented in the recruitment of teaching staff in Gurukuls. An interim order has been issued to implement the Supreme Court judgement in the case of Rajesh Kumar Dariyaa and the Rajasthan Public Service Commission in the filling up of five notification posts. Notices have been issued to file a counter. The hearing has been adjourned to October 16, 2023, and hence the final results will not be declared before this.

The Board of Gurukul has given another update. Telangana Gurukula Recruitment Board Convener Dr Mallaiyabattu said that the candidates who appeared for the Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) for the posts of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in Welfare Gurukuls, Librarians, Physical Director, Art, Craft, and Music Teachers in schools should register options online by Gurukula societies and zones.

For the TGT posts, one should register between September 21 and September 30, while for other posts, one can register between October 3 and 9.
