UGC NET 2025: National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the application process for the UGC NET 2025 or University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test for the June session. Candidates who wish to register for the UGC NET June 2025 can fill the online application form at the official website – ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The last date to apply for the UGC NET exam is May 7, 2025.
While filling out the UGC NET 2025 application form online, candidates must adhere to key guidelines outlined by the NTA. Candidates can check the important documents required and instructions to fill out the application form below.
UGC NET 2025: Documents Required To Fill The Application Form
- Copy of Board/University Certificate for Candidate’s Name, Mother’s Name,Father’s Nameand Date of Birth.
- Type of Identification – Bank account passbook with photograph/ Passport Number/Ration Card/ Aadhaar Card Number/Voter ID Card Number/ Other Govt ID
- Qualifying Degree Certificate or last semester’s marks sheet
- Category Certificate, if applicable
- Person with Disability (PwD) Certificate, if applicable
UGC NET 2025: Guidelines To Upload Images
Candidate’s Photograph
The candidate should scan his/her passport size photograph for uploading. File size must be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
The photograph should not be taken with a cap or goggles. The photograph should cover 80% of the face (without mask) visible including ears against white background.
Spectacles are allowed if being used regularly.
Polaroid and Computer-generated photos are not acceptable.
UGC NET June 2025 Exam Schedule
According to the official bulletin, if the applications do not comply with the above-mentioned instructions or if unclear photographs are uploaded, then they may be rejected by the NTA.
Candidate’s Signature
Candidates are required to upload the full signature in running handwriting. The candidate should put their full signature on white paper with a blue or black ink pen and scan it for uploading. The file size of the scanned signature must be between 4 kb to 30 kb.
UGC NET 2025: Important Points To Note
The Candidate must ensure that the registered e-mail address and mobile number are their own (which cannot be changed later), as communication may be sent by NTA through e-mail or SMS.
Candidates must select their cities for the exam centre carefully, as no change will be allowed once the application is submitted.
