UGC NET Admit Card 2024: Candidates registered for these exams can now download their hall tickets from the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in, using their application number and date of birth.

UGC NET 2024 Admit Card: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit cards for the University Grants Commission (UGC) NET 2024 rescheduled exams. The National Testing Agency (NTA) had earlier deferred the January 15 exam to January 21 and 27, 2025 due to the Pongal and Makar Sankranti festivals. Candidates registered for these exams can now download their hall tickets from the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in, using their application number and date of birth.
“The revised schedule was notified vide public notice dated 14.01.2025 on https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/ .The Admit card of UGC – NET December 2024 examination scheduled on 21.01.2025 and 27.01.2025 has been released. The Candidates are advised to download their Admit Card (using Application No. and Date of Birth) along with the undertaking from the website https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/,” reads the official notice.
The UGC-NET 2024 is being held for 85 subjects at various centres across the nation using the OMR (Pen and Paper) format. It is being held in two shifts. The first shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm.
UGC NET Admit Card 2024: Steps To Download
Step 1: Visit the official website of UGC NET – ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
Step 2: On the home page, click on the link that reads ” UGC-NET December-2024: Click Here to Download Admit Card”
Step 3: Now enter your application number, date of birth and given security pin
Step 4: Click on submit and your UGC NET 2024 admit card will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Check the admit card and download it. Take a printout for the exam day.
The exam consists of two papers. The first paper comprises 50 questions worth 100 marks. It tests general skills like awareness, reading comprehension, reasoning, research aptitude, and teaching ability. Whereas paper 2 focuses on the candidate’s chosen subject, with 100 questions worth 200 marks.
Candidates must note that those in the unreserved category must score at least 40 per cent marks to pass the exam. While those belonging to the reserved category must score a minimum of 35 per cent marks to clear the December session test.
This University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test is held every year in June and December for candidates aspiring to be eligible for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. The UGC NET certificate is valid for three years for those applying for JRF positions. For the post of assistant professor/lectureship, the certificate is valid life-long.
