UGC NET June 2025 Exam Timetable: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce the UGC NET June 2025 examination schedule shortly. Although no official confirmation regarding the UGC NET 2025 June exam timetable has been made yet, the timetable is likely to be released soon as the exams are tentatively scheduled to begin on June 21. Based on past trends, it is anticipated that the NTA will release the detailed exam dates by the end of this week.
Usually, the NTA releases the UGC NET exam timetable approximately 15 days before the examination. For instance, in 2024, the UGC NET December session commenced on January 3, 2025, and the schedule was released on December 19, 2024. Since the June 2025 exams are expected to begin on June 21, candidates can likely expect the NTA to release the examination timetable within this week.

UGC NET June 2025: Exam Pattern
The UGC NET examination is held for duration of three hours and consists of 150 multiple-choice questions, divided into two separate papers.
Paper 1 contains 50 questions worth 100 marks and assesses general teaching skills, logical reasoning, reading comprehension, research aptitude, and general awareness.
Paper 2 comprises 100 questions based on the candidate’s chosen subject and is worth 200 marks in total.
The test is administered in both English and Hindi languages, except for papers specific to languages.
Each question is worth two marks, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
The UGC NET is conducted twice annually for candidates aspiring to qualify for roles as Assistant Professors, obtain a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), or pursue PhD programmes at universities and colleges across India.
