UP Board Exams 2025: Over 54.37 lakh students are appearing for the UP Board Class 10 and 12 exams. Check exam day guidelines, dress code here.

More than 54.37 lakh students are appearing for the Uttar Pradesh Board Class 10 and 12 exams starting today, February 24. The exams will be held from February 24 to March 12, with 54,37,233 students appearing. Of these, over 27.32 lakh students are appearing for the Class 10 exams, while more than 27.05 lakh are sitting for the Class 12 exams.

The government has set up 8,140 examination centres across the state. A state-level control room with 54 computers has also been established to keep an eye on the exams.

This control room, inaugurated on Friday by UP’s Minister of State for Secondary Education, Gulab Devi, will monitor the exams at the state, district, and school levels.

Authorities have warned that strict action will be taken against students caught cheating, as well as those who help others cheat.

The UP Board Class 10 and 12 exams in 2025 will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will take place from 8:30 am to 11:45 am, while the second shift will be held from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

The Class 10 exams will begin with Hindi and Healthcare papers, whereas the Class 12 exams will start with Hindi and Military Science papers.

UP Board Exam Day Guidelines

  • Arrive at the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the exam starts.
  • Wear the school uniform as per board rules.
  • Carry a printed admit card and school ID card – entry will not be allowed without them.
  • Bring essential items like a pen, pencil, and eraser. Sharing stationery is not allowed.
  • Do not carry mobile phones, calculators, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, or earphones.
  • Maintain silence, follow the invigilator’s instructions, and avoid any disturbance.
  • Strictly avoid unfair means like talking, whispering, or making unnecessary noise.
  • Do not bring study materials, notes, or any unauthorised items inside the exam hall.
