UP Board Class 10th, 12th Results 2025: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Board (UPMSP) will commence the evaluation process for the UP Board 2025 for Class 10 and Class 12 exams today, March 19, 2025. A total of 1,34,723 examiners have been deployed across the state to check an overwhelming 2,96,93,855 answer sheets within the next 15 days, as reported by Live Hindustan.
According to the report, the UP Board has set up 261 evaluation centres statewide to handle this massive task. Of these, 84,122 examiners and 8,473 deputy chief examiners will be responsible for assessing 1,63,22,248 written answer sheets from high school students, while 50,601 examiners and 5,471 deputy chief examiners will evaluate 1,33,71,607 answer sheets from intermediate students.
To streamline the process, UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh has outlined strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the examiners. Each examiner is permitted to evaluate no more than 50 answer sheets per day for high school exams and a total of 700 answer sheets for the evaluation period. For intermediate exams, the limit is 45 answer sheets per day and 600 total answer sheets.
Eight centres in Prayagraj have been set up specifically for the evaluation of UP Board exam copies. These include Government Inter College, Kulbhaskar Ashram Inter College, KP Inter College, Anglo Bengali Inter College, Kesar Vidya Peeth Inter College, Jagat Taran Inter College, Crosthwaite Inter College, and Bharat Scout and Guide Inter College.
However, the evaluation process faced a setback before it even began. A review conducted before the start of the evaluation revealed that only 60% of the appointed examiners reported to the centres for training on March 18. With 40% of examiners absent, Bhagwati Singh deemed the situation unsatisfactory. He has issued a directive to all District School Inspectors to ensure 100% attendance by the absent examiners at their respective evaluation centres by March 19.
The Board conducted the UP board Class 10 and Class 12 exams from February 24 to March 12, 2025. More than 54.37 lakh students were enrolled to appear for the UP Board Exam 2025 of which over 27.32 lakh students were appearing for the Class 10 exams, while more than 27.05 lakh were sitting for the Class 12 exams.
The government has set up 8,140 examination centres across the state. A state-level control room with 54 computers has also been established to keep an eye on the exams.
