UP Board Class 12th Pass Percentage 2025: Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) has released the result of class 10th board examination today, April 25. A total of 81.15 per cent cleared the intermediate exam this year. Students can check their exam results by visiting the official websites of UPMSP — upmsp.edu.in and upresults.nic.in. Apart from this, results will also be available through offline mode. Apart from this, scorecards will also be available for students on SMS, DigiLocker, Umang App and other major portals.

It is important to note that the online results that will be released will be provisional only. Students will have to contact their respective school or college for their authorized hard copy, where they will be able to get their detailed scorecard.

What Happened Last Year In UP 12th Result?

This year, the class 12 pass rate was reported to be 82.60 per cent. This represents a 7.08 per cent increase over the 75.52 per cent of students who passed the intermediate examination in 2023. Female students have yet again outperformed in the UP board class 12 exams. In the intermediate exam this year, the pass percentage among boys is 77.78 per cent while the pass percentage among girls is 88.42 per cent.

UP Board 12th Result 2025 Passing Marks

To pass class 12th of UP Board, it is mandatory to secure at least 33% marks in each subject.

Papers out of 100 marks (like language subjects): Minimum 33 marks.

Theory papers of 70 marks (like Science, Maths): Minimum 23 marks.

Subjects with practical: It is necessary to secure 33% marks separately in theory and practical. For example, 23 marks in theory paper of 70 marks and 10 marks in practical of 30 marks.

Minimum D grade (33% or above) is required to pass in theory. Minimum E grade is required in practical. 33% marks in aggregate (theory + practical) and 33% in each separately is mandatory.

If a student fails in UP Board 12th exam, then the following options will be available to him:

Compartment Exam: If a student fails in one or two subjects then he can appear for compartment examination. This exam is usually conducted a few months after the main exam (expected in July 2025). The syllabus and pattern of the compartment exam is same as that of the main exam. Application has to be done on the official website of UPMSP (upmsp.edu.in).

Revaluation: If the student feels that his/her answer sheet has been wrongly checked then he/she can apply for re-evaluation of the answer sheet. For this, a prescribed fee has to be deposited and the application has to be made on the UPMSP website after the result is declared. The result of revaluation usually comes within a week.

Improvement Exam: If a student is not satisfied with his marks or wants a better score then he can appear for improvement examination. This option is also available for those who have passed but want to increase their marks.

If a student fails in three or more subjects then he/she will have to appear for the entire examination again in the next academic year. However, according to some sources, if a student fails in three subjects in class 10, he can also appear for the examination of only those three subjects in the next year.
