The Examination Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh has released the UP Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) state merit rank 2024 today, December 26, 2024. Candidates who took the exam can check their merit list on the official website at updeled.gov.in. A total of 3,25,769 candidates took the exam this year.

As per the application form, the merit list is created after taking into account the percentage of candidates in high school, intermediate, and graduation exams. Candidates are required to pay Rs 5,000 as an application fee between December 26 to January 12 to participate in the institute selection process. The option-filling window for training institutes will begin on December 30.

The seat allotment process is divided into three phases. For ranks 1 to 20000, the institution allotment results will be announced on January 3, with applications open from December 30 to January 2.

Candidates ranked 20,001 to 1,00,000 can apply between January 3 and January 8, and their results will be published on January 9.

Those ranked between 1,00,001 and 2,40,000, the application window is from January 9 to January 14, with results announced on January 15.

It is crucial to note that if candidates fail to lock their institution choice or confirm their admission, the process will be deemed invalid, and the Rs 5,000 allotment fee will not be refunded. Additionally, candidates without a seat allotment in the first round can participate in subsequent counseling rounds to modify their choices, but they will need to pay the Rs 5,000 fee again.

The admission exam, which assesses candidates on topics including general knowledge, teaching aptitude and reasoning skills, is the first stage in the selection process. This test measures the candidate’s potential as a teacher as well as their subject knowledge to determine whether or not they are a good fit for the D.El.Ed. programme.
