The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Services Selection Board (UPSESSB) has announced the third postponement of the written examination for the post of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT). Originally scheduled for June 18 and 19, 2025, the exam has now been deferred due to unavoidable reasons, with the commission proposing to conduct the test in the last week of August. In an official notice, UPSESSB confirmed that the PGT written exam under Advertisement No. 02/2022, originally planned for mid-June, will not be held as scheduled. The decision to postpone the exam came from the commission citing unavoidable circumstances. This marks the third time the PGT examination has been rescheduled since the recruitment process began. UPSESSB PGT exam 2025 postponement: Status of TGT exam and recruitment drive

While the PGT exam faces delays, the Uttar Pradesh Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) exam scheduled for the same dates, June 18 and 19, 2025, remains unchanged as per the commission’s April 30 notification. The application window for the UP TGT and PGT recruitment opened on June 9, 2022, and closed on July 9, 2022.The recruitment initiative aims to fill a total of 4,163 teaching vacancies across Uttar Pradesh. Of these, 3,213 posts are designated for male TGT candidates, 326 for female TGT candidates, 549 for male PGT candidates, and 75 for female PGT candidates. The selection process continues amid efforts to streamline appointment procedures despite administrative setbacks.
