UPESSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: Applicants must be under the maximum age limit of 62 years as of the final date of application submission.

Educational Qualifications:

To be eligible for the post, candidates must meet the following educational requirements:

A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Commerce, or Language for B.Ed teaching.

A Master’s degree in the relevant field with 55% marks for M.Ed teaching roles.

An M.Ed or M.A. in Pedagogy with 55% marks, along with a B.Ed/B.El.Ed or an equivalent recognised qualification.

Additionally, candidates must hold a PhD in Pedagogy or have cleared NET or an equivalent examination recognised by the UGC.

UPESSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025:  Exam Pattern & Selection Process

The selection process will involve a written examination followed by a personal interview. The combined assessment will carry a total of 230 marks.

Written Test:

Total Marks: 200

Includes 140 marks for General Knowledge and 60 marks for the optional subject.

The paper will feature 100 objective questions — 30 from General Knowledge and 70 from the chosen subject.

Each question carries 2 marks, and no negative marking will be applied.

Interview:

Carries a total of 30 marks.

The written examination will be held in Prayagraj, and candidates will be provisionally allowed to appear based on self-declared eligibility. However, any false information or discrepancies found at later stages — even after selection — may lead to disqualification and cancellation of the appointment.
