Steps to Apply for the UPPSC PCS 

Before applying for the posts, it is mandatory for the candidates to make a One Time Registration (OTR) and obtain an OTR number (without an OTR number, the submission of an online application will not be possible). Those candidates who have not obtained an OTR number must obtain it from the commission’s website 72 hours before the submission of their online application. Only after obtaining an OTR number may a candidate submit an online application through the commission’s website, https://uppsc.up.nic.in. Steps to apply for OTR number and application process are

Step 1: Visit the official website –  https://otr.pariksha.nic.in

Step 2: Click on any of the servers.

Step 3: Click on the register button

Step 4: Read the instructions and fill in the application form. On submission, a unique number will be generated.

Step 5: Visit the https://uppsc.up.nic.in. 

Step 6: Login with an OTR number and password.

Step 7: Check the filled-in information

Step 8: Click on apply button and pay the required fees 

Step 9: Click on final submission button

Step 10: Save and download the application form for future reference. 

UPPSC PCS Eligibility and Age Limit

The eligibility criteria and age limit have been released by the examination authority. Candidates can refer to the official notification for details.

Educational Qualification: The candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree of any recognised University upto the last date for receipt of application

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on July 1, 2024, i.e., they must not have been born earlier than July 2, 1984, and not later than July 1, 2003. However, relaxation of age will be given to reserved category candidates.

UPPSC PCS Selection Procedure

The candidate will be selected on the basis of the total marks obtained by the candidates in the main (written) examination and interview. The candidates need to qualify in the test as listed below

UPPSC PCS Salary

The selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale as per the 6th pay commission of Rs 9300–34800 grade pay, Rs 4600 (except Naib Tehsildar, whose grade pay is Rs. 4200), to Rs 15600–39100 grade pay, Rs 5400.
