UPSC NDA 2 Exam 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to release the official notification for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (NDA/NA) II 2025 today, May 28, 2025. Candidates aspiring to join the Indian Armed Forces can check and download the notification from the official UPSC website — upsc.gov.in.

The application process will also begin today and will remain open till June 17, 2025. Interested candidates are advised to submit their applications well in advance to avoid last-minute technical glitches. The written examination for NDA/NA II is scheduled to be conducted on September 14, 2025.

How To Apply For UPSC NDA/NA II 2025?

Candidates can follow these steps to register and apply for the NDA/NA II exam:

Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the NDA/NA II 2025 exam notification link available on the homepage.

Step 3: Complete the registration process with required personal details.

Step 4: Log in using your credentials and fill out the application form.

Step 5: Upload documents, pay the application fee, and submit the form.

Step 6: Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

NDA 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Age: Both male and female candidates who are unmarried and born between January 2, 2005 and January 1, 2008, are eligible to apply.

Educational qualifications:

For the Army Wing of NDA, candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board.

For the Air Force, Navy, and Naval Academy, candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Female candidates meeting the above criteria are also eligible to apply. They must be physically fit as per the standards laid down by the National Defence Academy.

NDA Exam Pattern 2025

The NDA/NA examination consists of a written test followed by an SSB interview.

The written test comprises two papers:

Mathematics (120 questions) – 300 marks

General Ability Test (GAT) – 600 marks

To qualify, candidates must score at least 25% in each section.

Those who qualify for the written exam will be called for the SSB interview, which is also scored out of 900 marks. The SSB interview process is conducted in two stages:

Stage 1: Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT).

Stage 2: Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and the final Conference.

The total marks combining written and interview stages is 1800.
