Uttarakhand’s ‘Super 100’ programme offers free coaching, food, accommodation, and study materials for medical and engineering entrance exams to 100 top Class 12 science students.

The Uttarakhand government launched the ‘Super 100’ programme on Monday to offer free coaching to 100 top-performing students for medical and engineering entrance exams. School Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat inaugurated the programme for Class 12 science students in government schools under the “Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan”, as reported by PTI.
One hundred outstanding students from the state were chosen based on an entrance exam to participate in this programme. The minister explained that the programme, held in Dehradun from June 1 to July 15, will provide selected students with free food, accommodation, study materials, and teachers for coaching.

According to the PTI report, The programme is also being supported by the Avanti Fellows organization. Additional State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha, Kuldeep Gairola, stated that after the 45 days of in-person classes, these students will return to their schools and continue to receive online coaching throughout the year.
He mentioned that the students’ progress would be regularly assessed to help them better prepare for competitive exams.
Earlier in March this year, the Delhi government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BIG Institute and Physics Wallah Limited to offer free crash course coaching for NEET UG and CUET UG exams to 1.63 lakh students from Delhi government schools.
The MoU was signed between the Directorate of Education, Delhi, and BIG Institute and Physics Wallah Limited. This initiative is a collaborative effort under NSDC International, Ministry of Skill Development, Government of India, and was formalised in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Education Minister Ashish Sood.

As part of this initiative, eligible students were provided with 180 hours of intensive coaching spread across 30 days in April. The classes were held for six hours each day, aiming to give students a strong academic foundation and better preparation for these competitive entrance exams. The programme is a step toward ensuring that students from government schools have equal opportunities to succeed in national-level exams without financial constraints.
