The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) is expected to release the WBJEE results 2025 soon on the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in. The board will also release the cutoff marks and merit list along with the results. The WBJEE 2025 cut-off list will depend on several factors, including the number of applicants, seat availability, exam difficulty, and past year cut-off trends.
According to the board chairperson Sonali Chakraborty, the WBJEE 2025 result may be delayed due to ongoing surveys to identify OBCs. Since a student’s category significantly impacts WBJEE rank allocation, the results are expected to be announced only after the new OBCs are officially confirmed.
WBJEE 2025 Results: How To Check?
Step 1: First, open the official website of WBJEEB, that is, wbjeeb.nic.in.
Step 2: Then, go to the examination section on the homepage and click on the WBJEE option.
Step 3: Scroll down and find the link WBJEE result 2025.
Step 4: Fill in all the required details and then click on submit.
Step 5: The result will be displayed on your screen.
Step 6: Download and keep a printout of the WBJEE results for future use.
WBJEE 2025: Exam Details
This year, the WBJEE exam was held on April 27 in a pen and paper format at various centres across West Bengal. The exam was conducted in two shifts: Paper 1 (Mathematics) from 11 am to 1 pm and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry) from 2 pm to 4 pm. The preliminary answer key was released on May 9.
The WBJEE 2025 featured three categories of questions: Category 1, Category 2, and Category 3, each with a different marking scheme. In Category 1, students earn one mark for each correct answer, with one-fourth mark deducted for every incorrect attempt. Category 2 rewards two marks for each correct answer, while half a mark is deducted for each wrong answer. In Category 3, students receive two marks per correct answer, and there is no negative marking.
WBJEE 2025: What Happened Last Year?
Last year, 1,42,694 students registered for the exam, with 99,574 passing. The merit list included four students from the West Bengal Board, four from the CBSE Board, and two from the ISC Board. Kingshuk Patra from Bankura District School topped the exam followed by Subhradeep Pal from Kalyani University School, who grabbed the second spot. The third place was secured by Vivasan Biswas from Krishnanagar.
