Candidates who had applied for the seat allotment can check the result on the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in.
According to the schedule, the results for Round 1 seat allotment was expected to be released by the WBJEEB on October 3. However, after some delay it has been released today, October 4.
Follow these steps to check the JECA Counselling Round 1 seat allotment on the official portal
Step 1: Visit the official website by clicking the direct link.
Step 2: Insert your credentials- Roll Number and Password, click on sign in.
Step 3: JECA Round 1 seat allotment will be displayed.
Step 4: View the result and save it as PDF for future reference.
As per the official notification, candidates who wish to retain their allotted seats in the given institution, are required to pay the seat acceptance fee and report to the allotted institute for document verification between October 4 to 7, 2023.
Important list of documents
In line with the notification, candidates are required to have the following documents prepared:
- Counselling Registration Form
- JECA 2023 Rank Card
- Class 10 Marksheet
- Class 12 Marksheet
- University Registration Certificate
- Proof of Date of Birth
- Valid Government ID Proof
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
Counselling Round 2
For Round 2 of the counselling process these candidates will be taken into consideration:
- Individuals who did not secure any allotment during Round-1.
- Candidates who, in Round-1, not only paid the seat acceptance fee but also completed the document verification process and chose the YES-upgradation option.
- And candidates who paid the seat acceptance fee and underwent document verification in Round-1 but had their initial allotment canceled. It’s worth noting that these cancellations were due to valid reasons unrelated to academic eligibility.
About the exam
WBJEE JECA stands for West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam for Computer Application. It is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) for admission to Master of Computer Application (MCA) programs in various colleges and universities in West Bengal.
The WBJEE JECA exam is held once a year, typically in the month of July. It is a two-hour offline exam consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions on Basic Computer Applications. The exam is conducted in the English language.
To be eligible for the WBJEE JECA exam, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates).
Candidates who qualify for the WBJEE JECA exam are invited to participate in the counseling process. During counseling, candidates are allocated seats to MCA programs based on their rank and preferences.
