WBPSC Recruitment 2023: Applications for 300 Medical Officer Posts Opens Tomorrow – News18

The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has started inviting applications for the post of General Duty Medical Officer. WBPSC RECRUITMENT 2023: Vacancy details

The WBPSC recruitment drive is being conducted to fill a total of 300 vacancies in the state. Among the offered posts, 102 vacancies are for the unreserved category, 67 seats are reserved for the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, and 19 vacancies are for the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. In addition to that, there are 43 vacancies for the OBC-A (Non-Creamy Layer), and 29 vacancies for the OBC-B (Non-Creamy Layer). For Person with Disabilities (PwD) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category candidates, there are 14 and 26 vacancies respectively.

WBPSC RECRUITMENT 2023: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Age Limit: Candidates applying for the post must keep in mind that the maximum age limit for ordinary medical graduates is capped at 36 years. Candidates possessing post-graduate medical qualifications can apply till the age of 40 years.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates eligible to apply for WBPSC Medical Officer Recruitment are those with medical qualifications included in the 1stand 2ndschedules or Part-II of the Third schedule to the Indian Medical Council (IMC) Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and registration as medical practitioners in West Bengal.

WBPSC RECRUITMENT 2023: APPLICATION FEE

For the unreserved category, candidates must pay an application fee of Rs 210 at the time of registration. However, residents of West Bengal belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe candidates, and persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) with a physical disability of 40 per cent and above are exempt from payment of the fee.
