This year, three women and two men have made it to the top 5, each bringing unique educational backgrounds to the table.
Rank 1 – Shakti Dubey
She pursued a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Allahabad and later completed her postgraduation in Biochemistry from BHU. Preparing for the UPSC since 2018, she chose Political Science and International Relations as her optional subject in the Mains.
Rank 2 – Harshita Goyal
She completed her B.Com from MS University of Baroda. Her optional subject in UPSC Mains was Political Science and International Relations.
Rank 3 – Dongre Archit Parag
He holds a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from VIT Vellore. His optional subject was Philosophy.
Rank 4 – Shah Margi Chirag
She earned her B.Tech in Computer Engineering from Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad. Her optional subject in UPSC was Sociology.
Rank 5 – Aakash Garg
He pursued B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. His optional subject in the exam was Sociology.

This year, a total of 1,009 candidates have been recommended for appointment to Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ services.
